As a cancer survivor who is battling another illness which requires chemotherapy, I know how important it is to have comfort items with you while getting chemo infusions. For years, I've packed totes for myself with flannel shirts, blankets, easy-to-digest snacks, and distracting games and books. But finding the "right" bag is difficult.A dear family friend began chemo in January 2022, and while we spoke about it, she didn't think she'd want to bring a bag to chemo with her - it just made the scary situation more "real." So, as a gift, I purchased this bag - with the sea turtle, as she loves sea turtles - and a few items (chapstick, a blanket, a flannel, some puzzles, a snack container, a med container, etc.) to go in it. The bag arrived before the items, conveniently, and I have to admit, it's a very pretty, vibrant print! The turtle is pretty much the same color as pictured (maybe a slightly darker teal), and the design placement is wonderful. The straps are sturdy, and as the items I ordered to go into the bag arrived, I tested the bag, making sure it could hold various weights.This is where I knocked off a star. The bag is a GREAT size, but you can't get a day's worth of items in there without it shifting/hurting your shoulder a bit. The straps haven't fallen off or frayed - and my friend still uses the bag, so they haven't detached! - but anything more than a small blanket, a long-sleeved shirt, and some smaller items? Not going to fit. I wouldn't recommend this for a day trip (beach, festival, etc.). It does work for her chemo days, but again, it's not very sturdy if more than 4-5 items are in there. It's also not truly waterproof, as some water that got on the outside of the bag did seep inside, making part of the blanket wet (and then pooling a bit in the bottom), so be cautious if you do want to try this as a beach bag and use it for water bottles.Overall, though, this is a solid 4-star product. The design is as shown, the material is nice, the size is pretty decent (but it's not large enough to carry items for an all-day event), and I'd buy another one again to use for fewer items. It's been great for my friend, and really made her smile, so in the end - the bag served its purpose, and I'm happy about that. :)Really cute work bag.
